Cruise to Mexico

When trying to decide on a little summer getaway with my Mom and sister, we settled on a 5 day cruise to Mexico!  I'm not a huge fan of Mexico, but it fit into our schedule and budget so off we went on July 25!

I don't get to spend much time with my youngest brother so I brought him along for the fun.  Before the fun could actually start we had to do the muster station drill.  They were a little less than excited about it.

Buh bye NOLA!

Karaline was quite the character for a while.  She is a nervous nelly so going down the gangway to get on the ship was chaos.  She could see that we were high above the ground so she started to freak out and to make matters worse the two boys were running and jumping which made the floor move a little.  She was acting like a crazy person lol!  When we made it on the ship she finally settled down a little until she had to walk out on the deck.  When she got back inside she walked hunched over and clung to the wall.  It was the funniest thing!  Eventually she was comfortable and we all had a great first night!

He's so fancy.

Banana splits all around!

It was so nice to spend 5 whole days with this cool kid!

Nighttime fun in the room.

The next day we were at sea so we got to relax and explore the ship a little.

Ice cream for breakfast while on vacation is totally acceptable.

Jameson stayed home with Harry's Mom and Dad so I also got to spend some quality time with my best bud!

We found the slide and Brett didn't waste any time!  Connor wasn't tall enough so that was a bummer.

The swimming pool was crowded and the kids couldn't reach in it so they hung out in the hot tub!

Love this silly girl!

Gigi even got in on the fun.

We found the basketball court and Brett was in his happy place.

A little bingo fun!

Beautiful sunset in the Gulf of Mexico.

It was Brett's seventh birthday so we had a party in our stateroom!

Not a bad way to spend your birthday!  Perfect ending to a great day.

Our first port was Cozumel and we spent our day swimming with dolphins!

This is our only picture with Karaline in the water.  She was so excited to do it, but of course had a panic attack and sat on the edge for the whole thing.

Gigi wasn't all that thrilled about being with the dolphins either.

He was having a blast, despite what it looks like in this pic.

Got him!

Fun!!

Our dolphin showing off.

These kids thought they were something else ordering their virgin daiquiris and pina coladas at the bar.

Connor ordered a "bar drink without the parent drink in it!"  LOL!

Bar drinks!

Continuing to be excited about his bar drink!

This was a gorgeous place and we had a great day!

After a little shopping we were ready to get back on board.

This never gets old.

Having fun after dinner!

They had a blast at the kids club, as always!

The next morning we woke up in Progesso!

We went to a private beach house for a relaxing day under the Mexican sun.

The water was definitely not as clear as it was in Cozumel, but the kids still had a blast on the beach!

They jumped back and forth from the beach to the pool.

They found a football and Brett was in heaven.

More bar drinks!

The way Brett is standing is the spitting image of our Dad.

Tired boys!

The wait staff had a dance party at dinner and of course Connor joined in!

The kids practiced their towel animal making when we got back to our room.

We started our last day at sea with a fancy breakfast in the dining room.

After bringing the rugrats to the kids club we headed to the adult only serenity deck.  It was the complete opposite of serene though.  It was super hot with no breeze and I spilled about $30 worth of drinks.  We didn't stay there for very long haha!

We nded our last night watching hilarious comedy at the Punchliner club.

We had a great time and were back to the muddy Mississippi way too soon.
